Nosreteip Chantilly Lace (Tilly)

Tilly was a Chocolate Silver Lynx Oriental.

She was our first breeding queen and was retired from breeding, spayed and re-homed after having 3 litters of kittens. Our second breeding queen (Becky) came from the second of these litters.

We planned to keep Tilly as a pet when she retired but the stress of the other cats and the kittens was too much for her. One of my greatest pleasures was hearing when Tilly caught her first ever bird - not because of the bird- but because she was able to have a normal happy life.

Tilly died in 2009 but we are uncertain of the cause.

Venbarlen Evening Star (Eve)

Purchased as a pet Eve has been with us since before we decided to start breeding. She has many faults, not the least of which is a somewhat grumpy nature but we love her dearly and she can always be relied on to keep us company if we are sick or unhappy.

In 2009 Eve became ill with respiratory problems. After 6 months of visiting the vet almost weekly Eve stopped eating and I had to make the difficult decision to let her go. Eve had been with us for 11 years so she has left a huge gap in our lives

Ch. Shibumi Deioneira (Dee)

Dee's colour is Havana - a rich chestnut brown . Daughter of Becky from her first litter we were entranced with Dee's wonderful nature as well as her beautiful type. Her kittens have shared her charming personality but a couple of litters with only one kitten and some rather lazy parenting made us conclude she is not a good prospect for breeding so she was spayed in early 2009.

After first seeming not to be affected by HCM having had 2 clear scans Dee's 2010 scan was changed and she was classified as equivical. 3 months later on December 13th in the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom and found her on the floor having lost the use of her hind legs. By the time we got to the emergency vet she was extremely distressed and her feet were cold. This is the classic presentation of a saddle thrombosis and in the saddest decision of my life I agreed to allow her to be euthanased.

She was the most delightful and loving of cats and of all the cats I have breed and owned she was my favourite. I will always be haunted by the distress in her beautiful green eyes when I found her on the bathroom floor
